Polypropylene Webbing
Exhibited at Yabu Pushelberg, Toronto, Canada
2025
Centerpiece is a tablecloth with a basket woven into its surface. The mad weave—a basketry technique that creates a distinctive star pattern—is formed in the middle where the basket meets the tablecloth. The resulting woven piece is both a place for holding objects and a decorative focal point.
Centerpiece was a part of To Hold, an exhibition curated by Yabu Pushelberg. The show brought together a group of Canadian artists and designers to explore how the act of holding can transform the essence of an object.
